What we do
Founded in 2018, Jaris saw small businesses struggle with hard-to-get bank loans and costly, predatory Merchant Cash Advances. Offering a middle ground with embedded lending, we were able to provide affordable bank loans to small businesses through the platforms they relied on.
Today, we help payment and software companies become financial partners with embedded fintech so they can better serve small and medium-sized businesses. With a single integration, our partners are able to offer a personalized financial product suite—business loans, instant payouts, and banking—directly into their platforms or through our hosted solution. Our unified financial ecosystem unlocks growth across the entire value chain: from SaaS and ISOs to PSPs and banks, down to the small businesses who are the backbone of our economy.

Chris Aristides
Chris founded Jaris in 2018, combining his expertise in financial services and technology to build a company that delivers personalized financial services for small businesses while addressing the core challenges of the platforms Jaris partners with. Before founding Jaris, he gained valuable experience as a cross-capital structure technology investor at leading firms including, Partner Funds, Magnetar Capital, SAC, and Citadel, where he focused on investing in technology and innovation. Chris holds a degree from St. Olaf’s College and an MBA from the University of Minnesota. When he’s not at Jaris, Chris enjoys playing hockey, soccer, and guitar.

Neel Patel
Neel joined Jaris in 2021 as CTO, bringing strong technical expertise from leadership roles at 100x Group, Tally, and Earnest, where he built and scaled high-performance data teams. With a unique combination of skills in both Molecular Biology and Computer Science (B.S. from UC San Diego), Neel has a proven track record of leveraging data-driven insights to solve complex problems and drive innovation in tech. In his spare time, Neel enjoys playing golf, soccer and coaching his kids’ sports teams.

Matt Thomas
Matt joined Jaris with 14+ years of experience in payments, leading strategic partnerships to help tech companies deliver innovative financial solutions for small and medium-sized businesses. Previously, he held leadership roles at Payrix, Worldpay, Paysafe, and First American Payment Systems, where he focused on identifying growth opportunities and building successful partnerships. Matt holds a degree from the University of North Texas. Away from his work at Jaris, Matt enjoys spending time with his family, following Formula 1 and English football, and playing golf.

Jane Meehan
Jane joined the Jaris Finance team in 2021, bringing a deep understanding of financial statements and best practices for scaling financial infrastructure. Before joining Jaris, she worked at EY (Big 4) auditing software and biotech clients, where she built a strong foundation in financial rigor. Jane holds a BBA in Accounting from the University of Wisconsin–Madison and is a licensed CPA in California. Outside work, she pushes her limits in HIIT classes, roots for the Wisconsin Badgers, and travels with friends and family.
